The Nurse Practitioner Instructor supports the teaching and learning objectives of the Nursing program by assisting faculty and students in both classroom and laboratory settings. The role involves demonstrating clinical nursing skills, providing academic support through tutoring and evaluation, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging educational environment. Working collaboratively with faculty and academic staff, the incumbent plays an integral role in fostering student success and maintaining high standards of nursing education at Lakehead University.
Responsibilities

Meet with faculty and students regarding grades, course content, and other academic matters as needed.
Assist in the evaluation of student work using criteria established by the supervising faculty or instructor.
Collaborate with faculty and academic staff to support the University's educational goals and objectives.
Contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all members of the University community.
Support teaching and demonstrate nursing knowledge and skills in classroom or lab settings.
Provide tutoring and academic support to students.
Mark course evaluation activities, including quizzes, tests, assignments, and exams.
Qualifications

Unrestricted license as a
Nurse Practitioner
with the
College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

Demonstrated understanding of

Strong
