Nurse Practitioner
Job Description
Applications are now being accepted for a Temporary Full-Time Nurse Practitioner to work in the Emergency department, the bi-weekly commitment to this position is 75 hours per bi-weekly pay period. The successful applicant will be required to work contintental days Monday to Sunday. Please note, this is a temporary position scheduled to begin on December 01, 2025, and scheduled to end on or before November 30, 2026.
Education
Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses in the Extended Class with a Master's degree preferred
Active member of the RNAO, NPAO Chapter
Current BCLS required
Palliative care training required
Current NRP certification or will pursue within 6 months
Skills and Ability
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Knowledge and commitment to client centered care model
Crisis management skills
Excellent physical assessment skills
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
Work Experience
Two years recent experience in Acute care nursing is preferred
Other
Good attendance record and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position is required
