We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team as an Independent Contractor. The ideal candidate will have experience in various settings, including pediatrics, acute care, and senior care. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and medication administration. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to patients in our community, ensuring their well-being and comfort while also being passionate about taking a holistic approach. Responsibilities
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive and holistic measures.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their health status and needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
Provide direct patient care, including performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and interpreting results.
Requisition imaging, blood work, etc.
Prescribe medications when indicated.
Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Janeapp, or system of your preference.
Stay current with advancements in medical practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license with relevant certifications in ONTARIO.
Experience with holistic medicine and protocols highly desirable.
Knowledge of pain management techniques.
Experience with senior patients and acute patient care is an asset.
Proficiency in medical terminology and medication administration protocols.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
