BioHeal Ottawa - a leading naturopathic clinic dedicated to comprehensive care of complex chronic illnesses - is expanding its team and

seeking a Nurse Practitioner

who is deeply committed to moving beyond symptom suppression and passionate about identifying and treating the underlying causes of disease.

BioHeal Ottawa's identity emanates from practicing root-cause medicine and serves a diverse client population with a particular emphasis on tick-borne diseases, mycotoxin-related illness, and other environmentally acquired conditions. We blend evidence-based integrative and functional medicine approaches to help our patients achieve true healing.

We are looking for a nurse practitioner to assist treatment of our Lyme and mold clients. You will be asked to dispense pharmaceutical binders and antifungals while with us. BioHeal will train you and our association with Jamie Batsch, NP, will allow you to be trained in charting of complex chronic illness patients.

What You'll Do:

Provide patient care through

virtual consultations and in-person visits

(as applicable based on location and preference). Conduct

comprehensive patient assessments

utilizing a functional/integrative medicine framework, focusing on history, lifestyle, environmental exposures, and systems biology. Order and interpret

conventional and advanced diagnostic testing

, including specialty labs for infections, toxins, hormones, and immune markers. Manage

acute tick bites

following ILADS guidelines and treat chronic infections using a personalized integrative approach that may include herbal medicine, nutrition, lifestyle interventions, and pharmaceuticals when appropriate. Participate in the clinic's

mycotoxin illness treatment

program, with mentorship from Dr. Marie Matheson, ND, a recognized leader in the field. Develop, communicate, and monitor

individualized treatment plans

designed around each patient's unique biochemistry and circumstances. Collaborate within a

multidisciplinary team

including naturopathic doctors, functional medicine consultants, nutritionists, and wellness coaches to ensure cohesive patient care. Maintain accurate and clear

clinical documentation

within our modern EMR system. Stay up to date with evolving best practices in integrative and functional medicine and bring curiosity and innovation to your clinical role.

Required Qualifications:

Registered

Nurse Practitioner

in good standing with the

College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

. Training from Jamie Batsch, NP, in Integrative Care. Attain and maintain independent professional and general commercial

liability insurance

. Proficient with

virtual care platforms

and EMR systems, with a commitment to delivering a seamless patient experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (English/French) communication skills. Prior experience or strong interest in: Chronic complex illness (e.g., Lyme disease, co-infections) Mold/mycotoxin illness Functional and integrative medicine approaches Environmental medicine

Pay: $70.00-$100.00 per hour
