The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a self-directed healthcare provider who collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including, but not limited to, other NPs, Surgeons, and Physicians. The primary focus of the NP\'s role is the management of patients with suspected cancer. The Chest Medicine Clinic provides a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary outpatient environment in which the Nurse Practitioner will triage referrals/ diagnostic notifications, provide direct patient consultation, manage Pleural Effusion clinic patients, perform in-clinic ultrasounds/thoracentesis and provide patients and staff with education in the Ambulatory setting.
