Reporting to Medical Affairs and accountable to the Medical Lead of Internal Medicine at Chinook Regional Hospital (CRH), this position functions as a central member of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, working closely with other health care providers to deliver care in all areas of the hospital where critical care services are provided. This includes the care of patients within the inpatient and emergency department consults, and outreach calls within CRH. A passion for caring for medically complex patients and their families is essential. The rotation for this position includes days/nights/weekends and the expectation is there will be an NP present 24/7. Additionally, the NP will: Ensure seamless transitions in care in and out of this this complex, high needs patient population. Exemplify comprehensive, holistic, and patient and family centered care through advanced clinical practice, leadership, education, and research. Provide critical care education, mentorship, and leadership locally and zonally, with ongoing involvement in quality improvement initiatives and program development relative to critical care. Demonstrate skills in the areas of organization, critical thinking, conflict resolution, advanced problem solving, leadership, and change management. Demonstrate ability in change management, strategic and collaborative leadership, and ability to engage a multidisciplinary team in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
