Nurse Practitioner

The

Almaguin Highlands Family Health Team

- is expanding their team and recruiting a

Nurse Practitioner

to practice in the beautiful Almaguin Highlands. The NP will be working to full scope, will provide high quality patient-centered care and contribute in a meaningful way to the wellbeing of the community. We provide primary care services, chronic disease management, and health promotion & disease prevention, within an interdisciplinary model of care and are seeking an NP to provide comprehensive primary health care to patients.

The

minimum requirements

for this position are:

Education and Experience

Nurse Practitioner Certification Registration in the Extended Class with the College of Nurses in Ontario Member of the Nurse Practitioner's Association of Ontario Current Basic First Aid and CPR Certification

Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated effective management, leadership, and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work as part of a team with a variety of health service providers Good judgment, time management, attention to detail and priority setting abilities Flexible within an active work environment, and can work autonomously Excellent computer skills and demonstrated proficiency with a variety of software programs including (Google Docs, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems (experience with Practice Solutions and or Accuro would be an asset) as well as Windows operating systems

Compensation

$125,477.00 annual salary, as we are a HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) employer; extended health benefits also included.
