Your Opportunity:

Reporting to a Clinical Manager, Health Link, this position is responsible for providing contact center, clinical and operational support in real time to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Tobacco Counselors, Navigation Agents (Information and Referral and Central Access), and operations clerical staff. In addition to providing immediate support to staff, this position is responsible for day-to-day problem solving related to staffing, technology, and business processes. The position also supports Quality and Safety activities through participation in staff education sessions and call assessment and coaching of nursing staff. This position supports the delivery of safe, effective and appropriate service. *Please note this position\'s location will be transitioning from Plaza 124 to the CN Tower.

Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 7 years nursing experience in a variety of acute and community healthcare settings. Advanced assessment skills in a variety of clinical settings, preferably emergency, pediatrics, maternal-child, general medicine/surgery, and critical care. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in nurse teletriage required. Experience in leading teams, adult education and coaching. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently. Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, staff and management. Excellent organizational skills, strong ability to handle sensitive and ethical issues. Demonstrated strong analytical, decision making and critical thinking skills. Ability to work in an evolving environment, and commitment to working in a team environment. BCLS-HCP certification required. Current registration with CRNA. Preferred Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
