Rotation/Shifts




Days, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements




  • Current certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Masters in Nursing or Education;
  • Baccalaureate in related field;
  • Minimum of four (4) years of emergency experience;
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in surgery/medicine/related experience;
  • ACLS certification or Emergency/Critical care courses in progress;
  • Is a member of the R.N.A.O. and/or other professionally related group(s) or association(s);
  • Demonstrates understanding of and willingness to participate in the evaluation process;
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written formats;
  • Demonstrates an understanding of continuous quality improvement and is committed to its application;
  • Demonstrates ability to work with computers and apply this to nursing activities;
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and problem solving skills;
  • Demonstrates the ability to assess the needs of adult learners and plan appropriate teaching;
  • Demonstrates the ability to prepare and present educational material in an effective, concise manner;
  • Demonstrates the ability to develop work objectives and apply these to his/her activities;
  • Demonstrates the ability to create, implement and evaluate a staff learning needs program based on specific leading practices related to Emergency care.




Preferred Qualifications



  • Two years of teaching experience;
  • Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
