Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Attendant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in our Vernon Clinic. As a Nursing Attendant, you will assist and support nursing staff in delivering exceptional care.

Duties

Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Support nursing staff in administering medications and treatments as directed. Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas. Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to patient care.

Skills

Candidates should possess a variety of skills relevant to the Nursing Attendant role, including but not limited to:

Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Jane. Experience in travel clinic settings is an asset. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to patient assessment and care. Familiarity with phlebotomy, medication administration. Understanding of various medical conditions including infectious disease care. Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Experience with vital sign monitoring.
