: Reporting to the Health Care Administrator or Care Team Manager this position is a resource and advisor to the nursing team on professional nursing practice. Primary responsibilities include advising on nursing related topics, including the requirements of Acute and Long Term Care policies and programs, and providing on-site consultation and support to the Acute and LTC nursing teams. The resource nurse advocates for advances in the delivery of patient and resident care services. The resource nurse works collaboratively with Patient Care Management and Teams, Quality Services, Clinical Nursing Education and other regional partners to ensure that best, leading and evidence-based practices are used to provide high quality, safe care.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Diploma in Nursing with suitable experience
BLS for Healthcare Provider (Level C) - Heart and Stroke

High level of accuracy is required in handling specialized equipment
