Job Description

This position is hybrid in Cambridge, Ontario.

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our client's team and support innovative projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of reactor component replacement. You will be involved in projects for various companies, focusing on automating processes related to tube removal, inspection, and installation.
Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Technical Lead, understanding customer requirements and overseeing tooling from inception to testing and verification.
• Integrate with various teams to ensure project goals are met and proactively address risks and issues.
• Define and verify requirements by collaborating with design teams to meet customer needs and develop test plans.
• Write design requirements, conduct safety risk assessments, and perform failure modes and effects analysis.
• Prepare project documentation and design calculations.
• Interact with customers on technical matters, serving as a Subject Matter Expert in tooling processes.

Essential Skills

• Experience in requirements writing or verification planning.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis or failure modes and effects analysis.
• Knowledge of standards such as ISO and ASME.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to articulate technical concepts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in nuclear tooling design.
• Proficiency in design calculations including finite analysis, motor sizing, and process flow diagrams.
• Background in mechatronics, electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, and automation.

Work Environment
This role offers a hybrid work environment with a schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home. The primary location is in Cambridge. The position operates during standard hours from Monday to Friday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.
