Your Opportunity:The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible to prepare, administer, and measure radioisotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies utilizing radioisotope equipment. Ensures efficient and optimal analysis of Nuclear Cardiology imaging procedures are produced. Perform a series of technical activities specialized to cardiology involving decision making and meticulous attention to detail under minimal supervision. Prepares and administers imaging agents/pharmaceuticals as authorized under medical supervision. Obtains technically accurate cardiac diagnostic images for interpretation. Prepares patients for all procedures as required. Ensures the safety and comfort of the patient at all times. Maintains integrity of all cardiac equipment in department. Actively participates in the Quality Assurance Program. Reviews and reconciles documentation as needed.Description:As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) II you will be responsible for coordinating the day- to-day operations of a nuclear medicine area or performing specialized nuclear medicine procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. You will provide and perform the highest quality service possible, to the clients of Diagnostic Imaging Services during Nuclear Medicine including SPECT/CT examinations. This is done in an effective, efficient and safe manner.

Required Qualifications:Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Additional Required Qualifications:Current CT and Contrast Media Enhanced Practice Designation with ACMDTT. Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience in Nuclear Cardiology. Recent experience with CT Coronary Angiography. Recently completed cardiac core - arrhythmia exam. Recent experience with Myocardial Perfusion and MUGA imaging.
