Job Description

Rossland Diagnostic Clinic is seeking skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine technologists to join our dynamic Cardiology Team.



As a key member of the Nuclear Medicine Team, you will perform a range of diagnostic nuclear medicine cardiology procedures in alignment with current legislation, clinical best practices, departmental protocols, and the standards of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).

This role requires strong technical expertise, professional judgment, and compassionate patient care, ensuring the highest standards of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities



Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine cardiology imaging procedures with accuracy and precision. Operate, calibrate, and maintain nuclear medicine equipment while adhering to quality control standards. Generate high-quality diagnostic images and perform post-processing reformats. Conduct cardiovascular stress testing. Provide comprehensive patient care including assessment, education, preparation, and monitoring throughout procedures. Collect, verify, and document patient information and history, ensuring compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and consent requirements. Apply best practices in radiation safety, occupational health and safety, and infection prevention and control. Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Support learner education and assist with onboarding and training of new staff.

Qualifications



Graduation from a recognized Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging program (diploma, undergraduate degree, or higher), required. Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO), required. Knowledge and hands-on experience in nuclear medicine cardiology procedures, protocols, and equipment operation, required. Proficiency in radiopharmaceutical preparation, handling, and administration. Experience as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) considered an asset. Strong problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills, and initiative. Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Flexibility to work various shifts and maintain a strong attendance record.

Pay: $47.00-$50.00 per hour
