Job Description

Actalent is seeking a full time NPI Manufacturing Engineer to work with our client in the telecom industry in Ottawa.Description:

• Support new product introduction
• Provide support to remote offshore manufacturing sites
• Working on production processes for RF based products
• Partner with R&D to provide direction on design for manufacturing and production
• Support products throughout product lifecycles

Top Skills Details:1) Experience with Manufacturing Engineering (understanding of factories and factory processes for product development) 2+ years2) Experience with RF or satellite based technologies, or optical based technologies3) Test automation experience with LabVIEW or PythonAdditional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Optical Engineering
• Possess either:

• Knowledge of electronic assembly operation and debug using spectrum analyzer, power meter, network analyzer type products OR
• Knowledge of fiber optic communications technology \xe2\x80\x93 e.g. Power Meter, Spectrum Analyzer, OTDR etc.
• Experienced with PCB assemblies
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes
• Process improvement and data analysis experience
• Experience with working with 3rd party contract manufacturers is preferred
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time to overseas contract manufacturing sites
