Job Description

T & A Rock Works Inc. has been established since 1979 and is based out of Kelowna, BC. T & A specializes in rock drilling, controlled blasting, rockfall mitigation, shotcrete & shoring as well as non-explosive rock removal.

The company is seeking an experienced Nozzleman. The Nozzleman will report directly to the Shoring Supervisor.

Duties Include:

Overseeing and leading a crew of 4-6 shoring workers Working with and reporting to engineers, project managers, and supervisors Organizing materials and managing mobilization Meshing panels and spraying shotcrete in accordance with the engineered design Operate or swamp for the drills during soil anchor installation Operating a grout plant and line pump

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of shotcrete & shoring experience (nozzling & drilling) Nozzleman certification (ACI, Wet-Mix) CCPO Certification Strong understanding of soil and rock anchor installation Valid Class 5 Drivers License with clean driving record Be able to work well independently or as a team, with or without supervision Ability to work in a safe manner and overseeing safety of other workers Reliable and a strong work ethic Physically fit and able to work long hours Ability to get along with a diverse group of people Ability to work out of town if requested
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: $40.00-$48.00 per hour
