This competition will be used to fill summer student opportunities with . The work term is anticipated to be May 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023, flexible work terms are available with a guaranteed 14 week minimum.

These opportunities are located throughout the province and can be based in any community within Nova Scotia with support for hybrid and work from home arrangements.

About Our Opportunity

  • Supporting the implementation of health system transformation projects
  • Supporting website projects and information portal development
  • Technical Writing Projects
  • Data Analysis
  • Supporting the development of Health System Plans
  • Supporting the development and review of the Medical Affairs By-Law Project
  • Supporting the development of analytical reports or business cases
  • Running micro projects set around medical affairs projects and tasks
  • Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
  • Top-notch writing and editing skills
  • Interest and experience in health care and health systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and competing priorities
  • A creative, open and collaborative approach to solving problems and implementing projects
  • An abundance of flexibility and adaptability
  • Skills in public administration, communication, human resources
Assets include:
  • Graphic design or desktop publishing experience
  • Experience with Excel, Smart Sheets, Microsoft Suite or Adobe Suite
  • Access to a personal vehicle
Working Conditions
  • Mostly computer-based desk work with occasional transportation to different NSH job sites for meetings
  • Interaction with patrons and public is moderate
  • Daily interaction with supervisor
Additional Information
  • Dress code is business casual
  • Normal work week is 35 hours
This competition is being hosted through the Nova Scotia Provincial Government, however successful candidates will be hired through Nova Scotia Health.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly
