About Us



EduLearn Inc. is a Calgary-based tutoring company staffed by certified teachers, dedicated to helping students achieve academic excellence. We are expanding our mission to create a

non-profit educational arm

that will qualify as an accredited private school under Alberta Education, offering high school courses aligned with the Alberta Program of Studies.

We are seeking an experienced professional to guide us through the

legal, administrative, and regulatory processes

required to establish this non-profit society and prepare for accreditation.

Role Summary



As our Non-Profit Startup Consultant, you will take the lead in establishing the legal and administrative framework of our new non-profit educational organization. You will work closely with company leadership, certified teachers, and Alberta Education contacts to ensure all requirements are met efficiently and correctly.

This is a hands-on, project-driven role ideal for someone with experience in

non-profit incorporation, private school registration, and regulatory compliance

in Alberta.

Key Responsibilities



Advise on and facilitate

incorporation of a non-profit society

under Alberta's Societies Act*
Draft

Memorandum of Association

and

bylaws

for the new society Develop governance structure, including

board of directors roles and responsibilities

Guide the preparation of

all documents required for Private School Registration and eventual accreditation

with Alberta Education Coordinate with Alberta Education's Private Schools Branch for guidance and submissions Advise on legal, financial, and operational compliance for non-profit educational operations Draft contracts and agreements between the non-profit society and Summit Tutoring Inc. for services, facilities, and staffing Develop a

timeline and project plan

to ensure milestones are met efficiently Provide training and guidance to internal staff and board members on governance, compliance, and reporting

Qualifications



Proven experience incorporating

non-profit societies in Alberta

Familiarity with

Alberta Education requirements for private schools

, including registration and accreditation processes Strong knowledge of

governance, bylaws, and board structures

for non-profit organizations Experience drafting contracts and legal documents for educational or non-profit organizations Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple stakeholders

Preferred:



Background in education administration, private school operations, or educational consulting Experience working with small business founders and bridging for-profit / non-profit collaborations
