WORK YOU'LL DO

Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services using Node.js and Firebase Cloud Functions. Implement and manage RESTful APIs to support various frontend applications (web, mobile). Integrate with and manage data in both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (Firestore) databases. Collaborate closely with frontend developers to understand their needs and provide efficient API solutions. Develop and implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using Firebase Authentication. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing. Troubleshoot and debug production issues, identify root causes, and implement timely solutions. Optimize application performance, scalability, and security within the Firebase ecosystem. Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes. Stay up-to-date with the latest Node.js, Firebase, and cloud computing technologies. Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions.

This role will require willingness to attend either the client site or Accenture office for at least 2 days every week in person in Toronto, ON.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Bachelors degree 5+ years of experience in Node.js development Strong knowledge of Typescript and asynchronous programming concepts

Strong proficiency with the Firebase platform

, including: Firebase Cloud Functions Fire store (data modeling, queries, security rules),Firebase Authentication, Firebase Hosting Demonstrable experience developing and deploying

Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architectures

. Advanced and extensive knowledge of the technical environment, standards, processes, procedures, programming languages and operating systems Experience developing within agile methodology using CI/CD pipeline Proficiency in designing and implementing

RESTful APIs
