SSR Mining \xe2\x80\x93 Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Nipper.
About Your New Role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Nipper, is responsible for operating various underground mining equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Successful candidates must demonstrate high quality workmanship, independence, strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrate high safety values.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Must have the ability to obtain a valid Saskatchewan Blasting Ticket
Experienced operating underground material handling equipment.
Experienced in maintaining stock/inventory levels.
Ability to organize, plan, and execute material movement independently.
Experienced in driving over radio-controlled roads.
Ability to perform extensive manual loading/unloading of tools and consumables.
Experience in underground nipper duties is considered an asset.
Your Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate will have good communication and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with the utmost professionalism, discretion and confidentiality is essential.
Physically fit, self-starter with can do attitude.
Your Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will have:
Underground hard rock mine experience considered an asset.
About Our Working Conditions:
This position has a schedule of two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan, working 12-hour days with possibility of unscheduled overtime required on occasion. You will be required to fly in fly out of the site on designated days from a pick-up point in either Saskatoon, Prince Albert or La Ronge.
