Job Description

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Night Shunt Fleet Planner, reporting to the Linehaul Dispatch Manager at the Head Office. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a \xe2\x80\x9cCan Do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude.

What you will do:

• Plan an assigned group of owner-operators and company drivers
• Monitor and balance fleet miles among all units
• Plan to meet specific mileage targets
• Communicate with customers to set up loads
• Work directly with customers to set up the movement of loads
• Help out shift dispatchers
• Enter, update, issue, and finalize purchase orders;
• Resolve driver issues
• Work with Pricing, Credit, Billing, and other departments
• Shared responsibility for weekly, monthly, and yearly financial results
• Other duties as required

Who You Are:

• Minimum High School diploma
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in dispatch preferably in a planning role
• Experience with AS400 and multiple equipment dispatching
• Strong multi-tasking and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
