We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared efficiently and to perfection in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
Ensure all food handling and safety guidelines are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations throughout the shift.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling, food safety practices, and proper cooking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation.
