We are currently seeking a permanent part time Night Auditor to join our Front Office team. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following;
1. Acts as hotel switchboard operator
2. Handles incoming calls for room reservations when Reservations department is closed
3. Handles guest check ins/check outs
4. Responds quickly to guest requests/concerns in a friendly and professional manner at all times, follows up to ensure guest satisfaction
5. Corrects any rate discrepancies and ensures that room charges are posted to guest accounts correctly in a timely manner
6. Balances total revenue of each department with cash and receivables
7. Balances and reconciles all credit cards
8. Prints folios as requested by different departments
9. Verifies that charges have been processed properly
10. Runs all computer reports and ensures their integrity
11. Audits and verifies accuracy of all transfers to general ledger
12. Distributes morning reports to management and files originals in appropriate binders
13. Maintains cashier float as supplied
14. Efficiently prepares cash deposits and reports shortages and overages on daily basis
15. Communicates with other hotel departments as necessary to resolve accounting discrepancies and to request and/or provide information
16. Makes daily notations in Log Books and follows up as required
17. Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of our hotel facilities and features
18. Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and behaviour
19. Understands and follows property standards.
20. Other duties as may be assigned by the Front Office Supervisor, Director of Rooms Division and/or General Manager

Qualifications:
1. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
2.Must be available to work two (2) overnight shifts (Wednesday and Thursday) and flexible for an additional shift on Sunday as/when required.
3. Knowledge of Galaxy Lightspeed an asset
4. Must have ability to handle fast paced, multi-tasking, stressful environment
5. Must have excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
6. Must have completed minimum Secondary School Certificate
7. Must have general accounting and excel knowledge
8 Preference given to candidates enrolled in or graduate of a post secondary hospitality/hotel management program
9. Previous computerized hotel and/or front desk experience an asset
10. Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision
