This position supports two brands located on the same property.( Super 8 Kelowna and La Quinta Inn & Suites Kelowna). The successful candidate must be able to work shifts for either hotel as scheduled. Both hotels share the same parking lot and operate under a single on-site management team.
Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner
Assist with daily accounting and documentation related front desk operations with focus on delivering an excellent guest experience
Reconcile the days transactions
Check guests in/out, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room location
Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner
Answer, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions and concerns
Support the guest services team and provide a high level of service
Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines
Routinely book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups
Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service delivery
Perform other duties as assigned including guest room tours, cleaning tasks, concierge services, special guest requests, some office duties etc.
Must be able to work in an efficient and timely manner.
This position requires the ability to perform light physical tasks as part of daily duties ( e.g. light cleaning of the lobby, restocking supplies, restarting another cycle of the laundry machine)
