We are looking to add a Customer Service focused person to join our team!
This services member will be outgoing individual that understands what the spirit of hospitality is, a team player and with a get it done attitude. We are big on helping each other out, making sure everyone is primed for success that day in all departments.
As Guest services agents will have an understanding of what hospitality is and the actions behind it. Service oriented and also a drive to work together to get the job done and done right. Understanding that you are responsible for the first impression of our property (including keeping things tidy). Checking in/out guests, Taking reservations and assisting guests, balancing your transactions after each shift, and being hands on in the organizational flow and complete tasks as required by the shift you will be working.
As Night Auditor you'll be conducting a nightly audit, which consists of balancing the business days transactions, closing the day to start the new business day, and preparation of various hotel operating reports in our reservations system, along with the regular duties of the Guest Services Agent. Auditors have to practice situational awareness and be aware of the outside and inside of the building/property and communicate this with our sister property across the parking lot, working together to ensure we have a secure premises.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
Register arriving guests and assign rooms
Answer enquiries regarding hotel services and registration by email, by telephone and in person, provide information about services available in the community and respond to guests' concerns that may arise during the night shift.
Follow up on all guest concerns to ensure appropriate action has been taken.
Compile information pass-on data to relay important messages regarding guest, housekeeping or maintenance issues to various department managers.
Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using computerized or manual systems.
Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment.
Daily accounting data entry and reconciliations
Post all daily room and outstanding charges.
Balance all revenue totals of cash and credits against revenue report.
Checking and accepting float and takings.
Prepare hotel operating reports and complete audit package to laid-down standards.
Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
Provide exceptional customer service with a smile.
Experience:
Hotel Experience:_ 1 year hotel (preferred) OR If you have an awesome service oriented personality - we encourage you to apply. We can train skills no problem, but someone that doesn't understand what itreally means to be service focused_ we can't help.
Sky Touch or Choice Advantage experience an asset!!* Criminal Record Check Required*
