We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Night Auditor to join our team in the Front Desk department. The Hotel Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations during the overnight shift, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing exceptional guest service. This role combines accounting duties with customer service and administrative tasks to maintain smooth hotel operations during night-time hours.
Responsibilities
Check guests in and out efficiently
Handle reservations, cancellations, and room assignments
Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints professionally
Reconcile daily financial transactions and prepare audit reports
Balance room charges, taxes, and other revenue
Verify and post charges to guest accounts
Prepare end-of-day reports for management
Monitor hotel premises for safety concerns
Follow emergency procedures when necessary
Ensure lobby and front desk areas are secure and clean
Update guest records and maintain accurate documentation
Process payments and manage cash drawer
Communicate with morning staff regarding overnight issues
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and stay alert during overnight hours
Familiarity with hotel management software
Basic accounting knowledge preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in hospitality or accounting is a plus
