Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting for supporting the on-going operations of Finance and Tax teams by being the first point of contact for supporting timely resolution of technical issues and supporting our internal customers\xe2\x80\x99 requests.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Prioritizing and identifying requests that can be supported by finance systems team or needs the support of other teams across or outside the organization to execute.
  • Work with business users and other subject matter experts to refine asks and refine requirements.
  • Work with subject matter experts and developers to refine design and specifications, and either configure the system themselves or with developers as needed.
  • Support testing and promotion of solution.
  • Follow up with stakeholders in resolving open (not-completed) requests, especially with critical requests.
  • Develop broad knowledge of basic system administration functions (user setups, manual execution of critical functions, etc.)
  • Update living documentation (key system functions, external points of contact, etc.).
  • Provide periodic reporting on work (items in progress, completed, etc.).
  • Support projects if/as necessary.
  • Consolidating Finance and Tax processes to best practice for all locations when possible.
  • Developing and applying team\xe2\x80\x99s Standard Operating Procedures (templates, metrics, etc.).

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Post-secondary education.
  • 1-2 Years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of System administration functions.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting process is an asset.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and can handle many tasks in parallel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Excel, Access, Visio).
