  • Anchor weekend newscasts and work as a Video Journalist three (3) days per week;
  • Appraise news and information from various sources;
  • Prepare, line up, write and broadcast news information;
  • Conduct interviews;
  • Originate, research, write, interview; shoot, edit and produce original news stories and elements for broadcast and digital platforms;
  • Adhere to editorial standards and guidelines regarding accuracy, ethics and legal issues;
  • Be available for public appearances and promotional events;
  • Perform other announcing duties;
  • Other duties as required.
Critical Qualifications
  • BA in Journalism or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in major market newsroom;
  • Excellent editorial judgement and decision-making abilities;
  • Proven background in news reporting and abilities to perform on camera
  • Strong writing, storytelling, interviewing techniques and knowledge of local news and current affairs;
  • Proven abilities in camera and editing;
  • Proven ability to perform well under pressure and strict deadlines;
  • Proven ability to work on several stories simultaneously;
  • Team player, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Bilingual; As part of the job, this person will be required to produce documents in French & English
