CityNews 95.7 is #1 for news, talk and sports in Halifax, and we\'re looking for our next great morning News Anchor who can help us continue to grow our popular morning news program, "The Morning News," both on the air and over all our platforms. We are passionate about information and giving people a voice in this ever-changing world. The news division of Rogers Sports and Media includes CityNEWS 95.7, our five other news radio stations across Canada, CityNews and OMNI TV - we work as one team to deliver the most up-to-date and trusted information to our listeners and viewers.

What you will do

Co-Anchor a 4-hour daily all-news format program Monday through Friday

Write and edit a 30-minute newscast

Update and maintain our popular web platform halifax.citynews.ca

Maintain station\'s social media sites, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram

Build a rapport with local newsmakers and enterprise stories over the air and on our digital properties.

Create a daily assignment list

Be available to cover breaking news

What you will bring

People rely on CityNEWS 95.7 as their go-to source to discover what is happening in their community. Thorough knowledge of the issues facing Nova Scotians is paramount.

The successful candidate will have experience in news and current events and how to relate information to an engaged and loyal audience.
