What you will be doing?

Support the outreach and promotion of the Newcomer Youth Career Empowerment Program, engaging youth through community networks, schools, and partner organizations.* Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing youth-focused excursions and community engagement events.* Assist in organizing and supporting youth employment workshops, including logistics, communication, and follow-up.* Facilitate and co-lead training sessions and skill-building activities aimed at enhancing the confidence and career readiness of newcomer youth.* Support the day-to-day operations of the program by preparing, organizing, and managing supplies and materials for youth activities.* Provide administrative support as needed*
What are we looking for?
Currently enrolled or have completed secondary or post-secondary education, preferably in the areas of: Community Service, Child and Youth Services, Social Work* Demonstrated strong leadership skills through school or community involvement* Ability to work collaboratively with youth from diverse backgrounds* Awareness of language barriers and cultural challenges, system barriers, faced by youth newcomers
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in the following languages is an asset: Bengali, Tamil, Spanish
Proficiency with digital tools and platforms (e.g., Canva, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, social media).
Strong organizational skills to support the planning and delivery of activities and programs
Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate work ethics in alignment with CCS core values

1200 Markham and networking hub
Compensation:
$27.05 per hour
Hours of work
: (3 days/week) for 7 weeks, total 150hrs, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required.
