Do you have good knowledge of the Edmonton Transit System? Are you passionate about helping newcomers to become successful in Canada? Would you like to be a part of the Immigration and Settlement Volunteer team of Catholic Social Services? If you said yes to these questions, then we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for YOU! For newcomers, learning how to navigate the transit system is a crucial component in integrating and settling in Canada. The Newcomer ETS Bus Tour volunteer will accompany newcomers on public transportation to a variety of potential destination including:

• Catholic Social Services Immigration and Settlement Service Edmonton office (8212-118 ave)
• various grocery stores in the city

• Good knowledge and navigational skills with respect to public transport and ETS
• Proficient technology skills in google maps and website navigation
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Patience, compassion, and respect for other cultures
• Fluency in English
• Second language skills in: Arabic, Somali, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Tigrinya, Dari, Pashto, French, Spanish, Rohingya, Oromo, (preferred).
• Flexibility to volunteer on weekday mornings required (2-3 hours)
