POSITION SUMMARY



The New Partnership Development Manager inspires Winnipeg businesses to partner with United Way to make a tangible difference in the city, together working towards being a community where everyone can reach their potential. In this role, you will initiate and develop long term meaningful relationships with Winnipeg workplaces to support their charitable initiatives, employee engagement, and social purpose goals. In this role, you'll:
Manage, in collaboration with volunteers, the development and promotion of United Way's new partnership development strategy, including outreach, relationship building, and involvement in the annual workplace fundraising campaign Generate prospects, identifying and cultivating new partners through a variety of approaches including warm referrals, industry events, and cold calls Present United Way Winnipeg's value proposition, showing how prospects' values and charitable goals align with running a United Way campaign Secure and support new workplace campaigns Build strong strategic partnerships with chambers and associations to enhance United Way's presence and work in the community




QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE



As the successful candidate, you possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and related experience:


A minimum of three years in business development or sales, with proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets Training in sales or fundraising and/or Post-Secondary education, preferably in commerce Experience working with volunteers and building strong relationships Account planning, customization, and management Project planning, implementation, monitoring, and assessment capabilities Above average verbal and written communication skills Fundraising experience and/or Certified Fundraising Executive designation, considered an asset Experience in public presentations is an asset Ability to learn and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing environment and manage several tasks simultaneously
