What You'll Do:

This role involves supporting retail, packaging, and fulfilment operations by performing hands-on customer service and packaging tasks, as well as gathering and organizing data to enhance workflows. The position will have a focus on identifying opportunities for technology driven process improvements, optimizing data management, and troubleshooting system challenges. Additionally, the role requires cross-functional collaboration to align departments with project goals and improve overall operational efficiency. Candidates should have experience in hands-on work within retail or packaging environments, as well as data entry and process management, with a strong focus on teamwork, problem-solving, and adapting to new technologies. The successful candidate must be comfortable with switching tasks quickly to meet changing priorities throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Support Retail, Packaging, and Shipping & Receiving Operations

Assist in day-to-day tasks within these departments, gathering insights on current workflows as you learn each step of the retail and packaging processes. Collect, clean and organize operational data that will inform new technology processes.
2. Data Entry and Management

Perform accurate data entry across various organizational functions, ensuring completeness and cleanliness, and data relationships are maintained. Validate and reconcile data from multiple sources to maintain high data quality. Ensure data accuracy and compliance to procedures. Support daily business operations through effective administrative assistance, while also contributing to the ongoing improvement of internal processes to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
3. Process Optimization and Brainstorming

Collaborate with team members to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in data collection and entry. Suggest and test ideas for improving data workflows and reducing manual intervention.
4. Identify New Process and Technology Opportunities

Observe existing processes with an eye toward potential process and technological improvements. Propose methods for streamlining workflows through new processes and tools, or automated systems.
5. System Problem-Solving and Risk Mitigation

Identify potential issues or challenges the new processes and tools may face. Develop and propose solutions or workarounds to address these anticipated problems.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Support daily business operations through effective administrative assistance, while also contributing to the ongoing improvement of internal processes to enhance team efficiency and productivity. Occasionally support other areas of operations and production as needed, providing input on new process and tools applicability. Offer feedback and recommendations that help align all departments.

Qualifications:



Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident Recently completed Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related or complementary field (e.g., Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Design, Computer Science, Industrial Design, etc). Experience in data entry, system improvements, or process management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Previous experience in a retail or packaging environment, preferably in a hands-on role (e.g., stock clerk, packer, or warehouse associate) Understanding of inventory systems and procedures for product tracking and stock rotation Strong communication and team-oriented mindset to ensure smooth operations on the floor Knowledge or experience with computers and new technology in business operations is an asset Restaurant and/ or barista experience an asset.

Data analysis and data management skills Problem-solving and process optimization abilities Proficiency in organizing and interpreting data for actionable insights Critical thinking and adaptability to new technologies and processes Knowledge of retail and packaging operations, including inventory tracking Ability to optimize packaging processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency Practical experience in retail operations, including point-of-sale (POS), inventory tracking, stocking, replenishment strategies, product handling, and order fulfillment Hands-on knowledge of packaging processes, such as assembly, labeling, and quality control Problem-solving skills to identify physical bottlenecks and optimize workflows within packaging and retail settings Ability to assist in organizing and streamlining physical spaces for better efficiency (e.g., warehouse or stockroom) Strong attention to detail in monitoring product quality and ensuring packaging meets standards and customer expectations Willingness to perform hands-on tasks in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with teams on the floor Able to maintain a high standard of quality and commitment to meet or exceed expectations
