QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST (NOVA)

Location: Regina or Saskatoon, SK (Remote or Hybrid)

Status: Contract/Full-Time

Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of a senior QA to execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures
• Collaborate with senior QA to identify, analyze, and document issues with program functionality, output, online screens, and database validations
• Self-train to acquire a basic understanding of quality assurance analysis and apply your knowledge to projects
• Build a foundational understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Enhance SQL technical skills through hands-on project exposure
• Partner with Business Analysts and Developers to ensure that business requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications and that quality standards are met

Requirements, Qualifications and Background:

• 0-2 years experiences with a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar/equivalent background
• Foundational knowledge of Data Warehousing (DWH) and SQL
• Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and knowledge of test plan and test strategy development
• Detail and action-oriented approach, with strong time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving project requirements
• Demonstrates critical thinking, and an analytical mindset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders
• Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with industry trends and best practice
