Overview
Field Tech Solutions is seeking a dedicated Onsite IT Contractor to support the 3M Brockville manufacturing facility. This role will focus on managing the Dell PC lease program, coordinating PC refresh activities, handling equipment logistics, and providing hands-on IT support at the site.
While much of the preparation work (imaging, user interviews, coordination) is led by the IT team in London, Ontario, the onsite resource in Brockville will take ownership of day-to-day support and onsite activities, serving as the local IT presence for the facility.

Key Responsibilities
1. PC Inventory & Lease Management
Maintain accurate inventory of all Dell leased PCs at the Brockville site.
Track deployments, returns, and refresh activities to ensure compliance.
Coordinate with Dell leasing to manage timelines and lease requirements.
2. PC Refresh Coordination
Work closely with the London IT team on imaging and user readiness.
Schedule refresh appointments with Brockville employees.
Assist with user data migration to ensure seamless transitions.
Verify refreshed PCs are fully functional and meet user needs.
3. Equipment Logistics
Receive and stage new PCs delivered onsite.
Coordinate the return of old equipment in compliance with lease policies.
Tag, log, and track all devices during intake and return processes.
4. Imaging Support
Support the London IT team with imaging tasks as needed.
Validate that imaged PCs comply with 3M and corporate IT standards.
Report and resolve imaging issues or site-specific requirements.
5. Local IT Support
Serve as the primary onsite IT contact at the Brockville facility.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues.
Escalate complex issues to the corporate IT team when necessary.
Provide hands-on assistance for issues not easily handled remotely.
6. Networking Support
Provide onsite troubleshooting for switches, routers, and firewalls.
Assist with local connectivity issues for PCs, printers, and users.
Collaborate with the broader IT team on escalated network incidents.
Ensure proper patching, cabling, and device connectivity within the facility.

Strong proficiency in Windows environments, PC imaging, and data migration.

PPE Requirements
As this role is based within a manufacturing facility, the following PPE is required at all times while on the production floor or in designated safety zones:
High-visibility safety vest
CSA-approved safety shoes/boots
Hard hat (when required by site safety rules or specific activities)
