Cybertech Automation is seeking an experienced full-time

Network Specialist

to help support a key client in the greater Edmonton Area. This is a hybrid role working both on site and from home as required.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Specialist to design, implement, and maintain our clients robust network infrastructure and critical Windows server environments. The ideal candidate will possess a Cisco CCNP certification and extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server administration. This role involves ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of all systems to support core business operations.

Key Responsibilities

:

Managing network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls) and administering Windows servers (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP). Monitoring performance, implementing security protocols, creating documentation, performing maintenance and upgrades, Assisting with cloud services.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field, 5 or more years of experience working in an IT environment Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Data Center or higher (e.g., CCIE) Hands-on experience in network and Windows Server administration. Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, and VPN Strong understanding of network security principles (firewalls, Zero Trust, least privilege). Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with automation and scripting for network Microsoft Azure Administrator Association certification is an asset Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) is an asset
