Note: Position is 7.5 Hours per Day, Monday to Friday, 12 Months per Year.
Purpose of Position
The Network Services Specialist is responsible for the computer network connecting all remote sites to the centralized services at the Division Office and connectivity to the internet. This position is responsible for the security required to ensure privacy and integrity of the network and data there in; while allowing Divisional equipment and personal equipment access to the applications required by all Division staff and students.
Duties and Responsibilities
Are established by the Director of Learning and Business Technologies within the parameters of the job profile.
Required Qualifications
Completion of two-year post-secondary Diploma or Certificate in Computer Engineering or Networking (Microsoft), with a minimum of five years work-related experience.
Current CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Designation.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and cooperatively as an effective member of a team.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information in the workplace.
Class 5 Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
Computer Science Degree or Computer Engineering Degree, MCSE Windows Certification, Network Set-up/Management Certification (CISCO CCNP OR CCIE), A Certification, electronics repair.
Working knowledge of relevant Brandon School Division policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Windows Server 2019 network operating system.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve file server/SAN storage issues.
Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP routing and subnets.
Server Virtalization using Vmware.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure.

Salary range is $72,155 to $93,099 annually.
