We are hiring a Network Engineer within the IT Network Engineering!The Role:Reporting to Manager, IT Network Engineering, the Jr. Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the optimal health and operations of the IT network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will participate in the day to day administration, maintenance and documentation of network infrastructure and assets to conform with Information Security Management Systems standards, policies, processes, and procedures to their daily duties.   • Manage, and maintain voice and data network architecture including documenting and enforcing network standards, policies and security, as well as new solutions to improve resilience of the current environment.
  • Ensure smooth and stable operations and daily health of networking and security equipment, as well as provide report of network operational and capacity status.
  • Maximize network performance and optimization by monitoring performance and capacity, troubleshooting network problems and outages, and scheduling regular upgrades to the latest stable firmware and software releases.
  • Strong working knowledge of networking technologies: routers, switches, load balancers, web application firewalls, next-gen firewalls, LAN/WAN networks, MPLS, Internet, VPN and various network protocols such SIP, IPsec, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SSH, S/FTP etc.
  • Manage and maintain networking assets, including inventory, maintenance of networking components, warranties, and support/service contracts.
  • Maintain network architecture drawings and documentation.
  • Work closely with Infrastructure and Application Development teams to ensure alignment, timely service and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure to adhere to the Change Management process by updating and implementing the agreed changes.
  • Ensure the enforcement of standards and procedures related to IT Infrastructure and Information Security.
  • Participate in testing disaster recovery and business continuity systems and programs.
  • Provide after-hours support for network related emergencies as well regular and occasional weekend maintenance.
The Requirements Needed:
  • Post-secondary education and/or technical certifications required.
  • 4-7 years hands-on experience working with leading brands of networking technologies.
  • Strong technical proficiency with advanced networking subnetting, VLANs, Layer 3 switching, Wi-Fi 6, IPSec/SSL VPN, SSL/AES encryptions, multi factor authentication, internal/external segmentation and security fundamentals.
  • Strong working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and network access control configuration and management.
  • Strong focus on ITSM change management, incident management and assets management fundamentals.
  • Experience supporting various business continuity planning and disaster recovery solutions and testing scenarios.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, planning, organization, documentation, and project management skills.
  • Experience working as individual and, in a team, able to lead, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and provide or make sound decisions in emergencies.
  • Understanding of NAC solutions on Cisco ISE and Cisco DNA an asset.
