Responsible for the installation and maintenance of low-voltage cabling systems, including CAT5e/CAT6/CAT6A copper, OM3, OM4, OM5, SM1, SM2 fiber optics, coaxial cables, and related hardware. Ensures projects meet quality, safety, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Install structured cabling systems for data, voice, and video networks
Pull, terminate, test, and label copper and fiber optic cables
Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, and telecom room infrastructure
Use test equipment (Fluke, OTDR, power meters) to certify cabling
Troubleshoot and repair network cabling issues
Interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical documentation
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades
Maintain accurate documentation and as-built drawings
Fill in and maintain daily and weekly submissions of site paperwork
Qualifications:
5-10 years proven industry experience in structured cabling
Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA standards
Experience with fiber termination (fusion/splice)
Ability to operate test equipment
BICSI certification (Tech/Installer II) optional
NCS certification (Apprentice/Tech) optional
Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces
must have own vehicle
