POSITION SUMMARY:

The Network and Server Analyst works directly with the Technical Services Manager and Infrastructure team to monitor and maintain enterprise direction regarding branch system functionality and services. The Network and Server Analyst will assist with design solutions based on needs expressed by internal and external users, branch management, and other stakeholders. The Network and Server Analyst ensures any points of interconnection to the 911 emergency response system are maintained according to public safety standards. This is a permanent full-time position, Monday-Friday. The Network and Server Analyst may participate in the after-hours on call rotation from time to time depending on project or implementation needs. Occasionally working outside regular business hours will be required to attend staff meetings, emergencies or other functions as required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Provide day-to-day operational readiness of the computing infrastructure within the PECC. Provide desktop, server, storage and network support, deployment and commissioning within the PECC computing environment. Ensures operational readiness through the monitoring and support of IT infrastructure including backup and storage environments Ensure the security of the environment is kept in accordance with Cyber security best practices, policy and procedures Provide deployment of patches and upgrades in accordance with policy and procedure Ensure business applications are evaluated for vulnerabilities Develop documentation for the PECC environment Develop and practice business continuity plans and exercises Engage with operations and clients to ensure operational needs are being met
QUALIFICATIONS:

Certifications/Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. ITIL Foundation v4 Cybersecurity Operations Analyst (CCOA) CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification or proven experience CompTIA Server+ or equivalent certification or proven experience Specific certifications and experience based on deployed infrastructure an asset: Fortinet, HP server, storage and network, Citrix Application Delivery.
EXPERIENCE:

7-10 years of experience in:
o Infrastructure support, network or server support and desktop support

o Storage and backup infrastructure management and support

o Communications infrastructure management and support
