POSITION TITLE: NETWORK ANALYST

OVERVIEW:

Our client is currently seeking one (1) experienced Network Analyst who will be responsible for providing L1/L2 support to Network Infrastructure (i.e., Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet) in Nanaimo BC and surrounding area for projects starting mid-Sept 2023. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Network Analyst experience installing, configuring, and supporting network infrastructures, including Routers and Switches, firewalls, wireless access points, wireless controllers, and other network devices. Previous experience utilizing a ticketing system (i.e., ITSM, Remedy) to troubleshoot/resolve network issues on assigned tickets would be a great asset. Candidates must be able to work in Nanaimo, BC for the duration of the project. Term: Six (6) months. Strong potential of extension.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience as a Network Analyst deploying, configuring, and supporting Network Infrastructure (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet), including Routers and Switches, firewalls, wireless access points, wireless controllers, and other network devices.

• Experience providing L1/L2 support, troubleshooting connectivity and configuration issues.

• Experience utilizing ticketing system (i.e., ITSM, Remedy)

• Experience decommissioning Network routers and switches, wireless access points, and other network devices.

• Experience preparing and organizing new hardware prior to installation.

• Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation of network configurations, changes, and incident resolution.

• Experience with asset management - tracking, maintenance, disposal

• Excellent written and verbal communication (English) is required.

• Must be authorized to work in Canada and be able to work in Nanaimo, BC for the duration of the project.
