MDS Coating is currently looking for a Network Administrator to support our IT Team in our Slemon Park, PE facility. As part of MDS Coating, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and optimal performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the maintenance of our CMMC Level 2 compliance. This position reports directly to the Vice-President of Operations and works closely within the IT Department.

Your responsibilities
:
Network Infrastructure Management
Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Ensure network availability, reliability, and scalability to meet business requirements.
Monitor network performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance activities.
Implement and enforce network security measures, including access control, firewall policies, and intrusion detection systems.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to network administration.
CMMC Compliance
Collaborate with the MDS Leadership team to implement and maintain network controls required for CMMC Level 2 compliance.
Participate in regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to CMMC guidelines.
Assist in documenting and maintaining network-related policies, procedures, and standards.
Contribute to the overall cybersecurity maturity of the organization by actively identifying and addressing network security risks.
Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Implement network monitoring tools and processes to detect and respond to security incidents.
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve network-related incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot network-related issues.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures.
Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance status.
Contribute to the development of network-related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
In addition to network administration responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be depended upon to provide general IT support including workstation management, user account management, software and application support and help desk support to ensure smooth operation of MDS's technology infrastructure.
What we are looking for
:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
Solid understanding of network protocols, architectures, and security principles.
Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure in a complex enterprise environment.
Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Familiarity with CMMC requirements, NIST SP 800-171, and other relevant cybersecurity frameworks and ability to participate in regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence
Strong knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Security+, Network+, etc.) are a plus.
Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for Controlled Goods.
