Description

Our Client is seeking a .NET developer resource to work on new API development and application .NET re-writes and upgrades. Duties include delivering applications programming and analysis tasks as part of a system development process as well as provide application support, maintenance and enhancements. The successful candidate will apply a broad knowledge of various technical areas to foresee and rectify certain problem areas within technology or with a mix of technologies, but focus on ensuring the business/functional use case is solved with the help of technology.


Resource will work remotely, though must be available for onsite meetings when required. Onsite meetings could be up to 3-4 times per month. Must be Canadian Citizen to apply and work within Canada at all times, due to network and data security issues.

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills

Must agree to a Criminal Records Check and Enhanced Security Clearance including a credit check prior to commencement. Experience developing any of the following: multi-user, n-tier, Object Oriented, Web Services, JSON REST API applications using C#, .NET, ASP.net or Visual Studio. (5+ years) Experience and technical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server. (5+ years) Experience in application maintenance and development that include: writing, modifying, integrating, testing, and documenting software code. (5+ years) Experience in designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting applications in a controlled production environment. (5+ years) Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Server. (5+ years) Experience with various software development methodologies (i.e. agile, waterfall, scrum, Kanban, etc.). (5+ years) Experience working in a Government development environment or in a large and complex environment. (3+ years)

Nice To Have Skills

Experience and technical knowledge using ASP.NET MVC (Model View Controller). (3+ years) Experience developing and maintaining applications that use Oracle Database 19c.(3+ years) Experience developing and maintaining web services, JSON REST API and Message queuing services using .NET C# services.(4+ years). (3+ years) Experience using a version-controlling tool (Tortoise GIT, Tortoise SVN and Version Manager and MS Azure DevOps). (3+ years)
