Who you are




You have a worked in Addiction & Mental Health services for a minimum of five (5) years with clinical experience in a combination of at least two (2) of the following three (3) areas: Addiction, Mental Health, or clinical experience working with children and youth with behavioural or mental health challenges. You have experience in providing training/coaching or facilitating groups, have demonstrated strong leadership skills, have an excellent work record and are able to work independently and as part of a team. You have a Bachelor's degree in a health-related disciline from a recognized University, are registered and a member in good standing with an appropriate licensing body. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications is an asset.

What you will do



The ETK Trainer will be responsibile for analyzing and targeting training needs, providing support/advice to senior trainers, and providing direct support to employees as required. Providing inter-discliplinary education, training, and intial post training practice supports. The ETK Trainer will plan and prioritize training in collaboration with the Provincial ETK Steering Committee. Research, develop and continuously update educational materials and training content based on best practice; as supported within existing internal training materials; scientific literature, jurisdictional scans, inter-jurisdictional consultation and Accredidation Canada. Ensure that existing and future training reflects evolving best practice and ensuring ongoing training evaluations. To partiicate in and maintain advanced training and knowledge Where training is outsourced, the role of the trainer is to procure, organize and liaise with the contracted subject matter experts to execute training, and to facilitate post-training forums, community of practices and or re-engaging subject matter experts when required. Coordination of training activities such as event planning, preparation of materials, securing and organizing training rooms/location and promotion of training. Participate in committees, and other duties as required.
