We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
NDT Technical Assistant
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) operations by assisting our seasoned Lead Inspector, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of NDT inspections. From corrosion surveys to turnaround projects, you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge work.
Assist NDT technicians with the setup, calibration, and operation of NDT equipment.
Prepare test surfaces and apply consumables as required by specific NDT methods.
Assist with data acquisition and recording of test results.
Maintain accurate and complete NDT documentation.
Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of NDT equipment.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures related to NDT activities.
Requirements:
No Inspection experience is required however, preference will be given to those with past oil field experience including Welding/Material Engineering Technology or NDT fundamental grads.
Able to work up to 12-hours per day in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work out of town for 2-3 weeks at a time.
Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently or in a team environment.
Quick learner with an aptitude for technology who is proficient with Microsoft word and Excel.
A clean driver's abstract and a strong safety mindset are essential.
Good physical condition, able to work outside in all seasons and weather conditions.
Candidate must reside in or near the Edmonton.
