Position Summary:
Acuren is currently seeking an NDT Level 2+ Technician to support projects in the Pacific Region, specifically Nanaimo, BC.

• Start date: March 2026
• Position/Shift: 30-40 hrs./week
• Rate: $48.12 to 57.36/hr. depending on certifications

Responsibilities:
Perform Non-Destructive Testing - Conduct inspections using methods such as ultrasonic (UT), radiographic (RT), magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT), or eddy current (ET) according to established procedures and standards.
Interpret and Evaluate Results - Analyze test data and results, identify discontinuities or defects, and determine if they meet applicable codes, standards, or client specifications.
Prepare Reports and Documentation - Accurately document inspection results, maintain records, and generate reports for review by Level 3 technicians or engineering personnel.
Maintain Equipment and Ensure Compliance - Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot NDT equipment, and ensure all testing is performed safely and in accordance with industry codes and regulatory standards. Requirements:
Certification Requirements:

• CGSB Level 2 Certifications required:

• Radiographic Testing RT2 CGSB Certification
• Magnetic Particle Testing MT2 CGSB Certification
• Ultrasonic Testing UT1 CGSB Certification
• Liquid Penetrant Testing PT2 CGSB Certification
• CWB Level 2 Certification
• IRATA training or willingness to obtain is an asset

Other Requirements:

• Reside locally to Nanaimo, BC or willing to relocate.
• Strong work ethics
• Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients
• Exceptional safety and quality awareness
• Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
• Be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally (English).
• Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
• Possess a valid driver's license minimum (Class 5) with a clean driving record.
