Our inspection team provides value-added technical expertise, ensuring equipment integrity, safety, and compliance across offshore operations

Due to operational requirements, we have an immediate opening for fulltime NDT Inspection Technicians, working offshore Newfoundland, reporting to the Project Manager. The successful candidate(s) should hold or be willing to obtain IRATA Level 1 certification upon hire and possess MT2, PT2, CWB1, and API certification, along with either UT2 or RT2 & CEDO qualifications.

Responsibilities:



Possess in-depth knowledge of inspection practices and certification process.

Carry out non-destructive testing on plant, equipment or structures in a safe, effective and timely manner.

Assess the integrity and safety of equipment and make sound judgment with regards to the suitability of the equipment and its intended use.

Perform equipment setup and calibration to comply with industry and company standards.

Perform non-destructive examinations/tests to assess quality condition and/or identify defects.

Produce detailed reports of inspections, clearly identifying the scope of the inspection and any defects or anomalies found.

Ensure that all findings are communicated to appropriate personnel and clients as required.

Maintain inspection equipment in good condition and ensure all required calibrations are current.

Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all personnel by working safely and in compliance with company and client procedures.

Identify and report any safety, quality, or procedural non-conformities, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Perform all inspection activities with integrity, accuracy, and accountability within the scope of certifications held.

Advise the Project Manager, Offshore Supervisors, and/or Inspection Engineer of inconsistencies between work practices and written documents.

Requirements



ISO 9712 NDT certification in CGSB, PCN, or equivalent.

MT2, PT2, CWB1, and API Certification 510 or 570.

UT2, and/or RT2 & CEDO.

Additional API certifications and ISO9712 equivalents are desirable.

IRATA certification (Level 1 minimum) or willingness to obtain.

5 - 7 years of inspection experience in an offshore environment.

Completion of 2 Year technical program.

Strong proficiency in MS Office and report writing.

Working knowledge of codes, standards, and drawings (P&IDs, isometric, structural).

Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflict constructively.

Demonstrates professionalism, adaptability, and a high standard of ethical conduct.

Compensation



Hourly rate of $57.06 - $77.90 (effective July 1 2025, based on classification and competency), with all applicable uplifts and premiums applied as per Appendix A section 1.0 of the HPEO - Unifor Local 2121 Collective Agreement.

Additional Information



Full-time position (21-day on/off rotation, 12-hour shifts)

Must successfully complete a medical assessment, fitness for work and all regulatory offshore readiness training.
