Job Purpose
The NDE Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating, managing, and overseeing all non-destructive examination activities. This role provides support to Quality Control, Production, and Project Management teams by scheduling NDE resources, reviewing examination results, maintaining compliance with applicable standards and ensuring accurate documentation and record retention throughout the fabrication process.
Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate and complete all administrative requirements related to NDE activities, including NDE requests, lot tracking, and compiling examination lots in accordance with projects and quality requirements.
Conduct shop confirmations, flagging, and physical walk-downs to support NDE crew.
Review completed NDE reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, and upload all approved documentation into internal database in accordance with document control and retention requirements.
Review radiographic film and other NDE results, identify discrepancies or deficiencies, and coordinate challenges or follow-up actions as required to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Coordinate with NDE Subcontractors
Communicate NDE progress, issues, and status updates to quality control, project managers and clients as needed
Collaborate with the documentation team to compile comprehensive NDE packages for clients
Provide support during client audits and reviews of NDE documentation
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and standards related to NDE processes
Continuously improve the NDE process by identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements
Maintain up-to-date records and reports
Perform daily administrative tasks which include but are not limited to scanning documentation into applicable job folders
Qualifications
Minimum CSA 178.2 Level 2 ASME B31.3 required
5 years' film review and audit experience
5 years' in an inspector role with related industry-based experience is required
Minimum 2 years of similar experience in a fabrication shop is required
Previous experience in a QC office is preferred
Working knowledge of MS office applications
Ability to start and complete multiple tasks under pressure and with deadlines

Working Conditions
The incumbent is required to work in both a shop and office environment with moderate noise. The job may require the incumbent to walk stairs; be outside in inclement weather (slippery surfaces and cold); carrying objects, driving and being exposed to normal shop/office routines.
Physical Requirements
The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal for extended periods of time; and extensive reading. The incumbent is also required to stand and sit for extended periods of time while in the office or while performing visual inspections on the shop floor.
