Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, lifestyle evaluation, physical examinations, and lab result reviews.
Administer treatments such as acupuncture, hydrotherapy, nutritional supplementation, and botanical medicine, while educating patients on self-care strategies.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support and follow-up care.
Collaborate with other practitioners within our clinic, as well as conventional medical doctors and specialists, to ensure comprehensive, integrative care.
Educate patients on disease prevention, holistic health principles, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term wellness.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient consultations, assessments, and treatments using the Jane EMR system.
Qualifications & Skills
In-depth knowledge of naturopathic medicine principles, modalities, and therapies.
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Empathy and compassion to provide personalized and patient-centered care.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex medical conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
Organizational skills to manage patient caseload, maintain records, and schedule appointments.
Ability to stay updated on the latest research and developments in naturopathic medicine.
Requirements
Graduation from an accredited naturopathic medical program.
Successful completion of national board examinations and a valid license to practice as a Naturopathic Physician in Alberta.
Continuing education to maintain licensure and stay updated on advancements in the field.
Experience in clinical practice, preferably under the supervision of an experienced Naturopathic Physician.
A strong commitment to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Compassionate and committed to providing superior care for patients.
IV therapy and injections certifications are an asset.
Interest in being part of a team and providing integrative care to patients.
