Job Description

WGL Energy is seeking a Natural Gas Scheduler that will be involved in all aspects of scheduling natural gas purchases from suppliers to local gas utilities to meet the load requirements of WGL Energy Services\' retail customers.

You Will

• Set up monthly and adjust daily nominations on interstate pipelines and utilities
• Analyze pipeline notices for capacity constraints and assess the impact on the flowing gas portfolio.
• Monitor pipeline reports, emails, and utility EBBs for cuts or variations in anticipated deliveries and work with Third Party Suppliers and Utilities in a timely manner to resolve mismatches
• Review and analyze daily customer usage to update customer nominations to maintain banking requirements and comply with Operational Orders issued by the pipeline or LDC.
• Perform retroactive nominations to avoid cuts, pipeline, and/or utility penalties.
• Develop and maintain positive business relationships with pipelines, LDC\xe2\x80\x99s, and supplier representatives and schedulers.
• Assist Business Development Managers (BDMs) to resolve any usage, meter, or phone line issues
• Input and/or validate Large Commercial Gas Contracts in the WGL Energy Oracle Database System and work with Contract Administration and BDMs to resolve issues.
• Perform the monthly close out of pipelines and utilities by reconciling volumes reported by utilities and pipelines with the WGL Energy internal tracking system.
• Input and update scheduled values into WGL Energy ETRM System
• Work with BDMs and sales personnel on profiling prospective customers
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage on-call rotation.

You Have

• Bachelor\'s Degree preferred
• 2+ Years analytical experience, preferably in natural gas scheduling or gas operations role in Ohio or Western PA and/or Pipelines in Ohio
• Ability to maintain 100% accuracy in a dynamic fast-paced environment
• Advanced to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Analytical skills with the ability to critically think is required.
